Having a properly cleaned panel and using the right type of coating material is very important when painting interior trim panels. There are different types of cleaners and refinish materials used depending on the type of substrate of the interior piece. These materials can be leather, vinyl, rubber and plastic. Some of these materials may also require an adhesion promoter. Dye and elastomeric coatings are two materials used when coloring flexible and rigid substrates.
