Infrared
The use of special bulbs to generate infrared light for fast drying of materials. Some booths are designed with this type of curing system. Infrared equipment ranges from portable units, to large units that have the capability of moving automatically along a track. A two-part primer that would usually require two hours to dry before sanding can be sanded in twenty minutes when this equipment is properly used.

Portable Heating Unit
With the use of electricity and propane the face of this unit will reach 1,000°F. Keeping the unit twenty-four to thirty-six inches away from the area being cured is required. A small built-in blower transfers the heat to the panel. This unit can be raised, lowered and the face can be moved 180 degrees to access every panel on a vehicle. A two-part primer that would usually require two hours to dry before sanding can be sanded in twenty minutes when this equipment is properly used.
