There are three different operations when refinishing metals in collision repair. These operations below share some of the same refinish steps.

Although the refinish steps on metal vary depending on the operation being performed, the procedures and applications are the same. Vehicles are produced with many different types of metal such as steel, galvanized coated steel and aluminum. Most coating manufacturers procedures and materials are universal and can be used on any type of metal.
